Sonia Viau
Executive Director – Since 2025
Bringing over 16 years of experience in the community sector, Sonia is a special care counsellor who places inclusion, artistic expression, and community involvement at the core of her practice.
She leads the organization’s strategic development, oversees its operations, improves services and creates an engaging workplace. A natural leader, she values diversity and firmly believes in theatre’s power to transform the lives of actors and audiences alike.

Mélodie Morel
At Les Pas pour Rire, Mélodie organizes theatre workshops and writes and directs the plays performed by our actors. She also helps promote our services and manages internal and external communications.

Our special care counsellors
Our counsellors take an active role in workshops, helping each actor reach their full potential and participate meaningfully. They also support the Theatre Coordinator in managing the group, creating an environment that encourages learning and mutual respect.
Board of
Directors
Board members regularly meet 7 to 8 times per year, while also occasionally participating in theatre workshops. Additionally, they contribute to various committees and attend individual events according to their availability.
The Board’s role
The Board of Directors works to ensure the organization achieves its goals. Meetings address the organization’s projects and challenges to support its development. Before each meeting, the Executive Director sends members documents to review in preparation. Members also serve on committees that draw on their expertise in areas such as finance, human resources, the arts and events.
